Mist Valley Holt

Oh yay, an advertizing section I'll try to make up a story for all the other holts I'm in -- the more the merrier!

I run a holt called Mist Valley Holt, a wolfrider based RP on a forum, too. They center around chieftess Halfnote, who's got the chief's lock after her brother died.

Participation requirements are one post per week at least, because since everybody's busy these days (myself included, heehee) I don't want to pressure people into posting. Mostly, people do tend to post on an average of three times a week.

Currently, they're preparing for war with the trolls. The scouts have found a troll tunnel nearby, which is at this point a dangerous situation. Initially having a comfy trading arrangement, the troubles started when chief Flare deceived them. He died a couple of years later by those same trolls.



We don't accept new characters as I'm not really comfortable with elves popping up out of nowhere, but we do have a few adoptable characters:

Kearen, the last pureblooded elf born to the tribe with a longing for the stars. He has a hard time dealing with wolfriders because he just doesn't get them and their ways, which provides for a lot of conflict.

Slyfox, chieftess Halfnote's oldest son and a prankster pur sang. Loves to tease, pull pranks and have a good laugh, which isn't appreciated by everyone. He takes a lot after his deceased uncle Flare.

Gale, with 7 turns old the youngest of the tribe, a whirlwind of youth and curious to the bone.

Story Update:

Chieftess Halfnote has led a warrior party into the recently discovered troll tunnel, after Ripple was kidnapped by trolls. They recovered the youngster after hours, near the troll's homes, and discovered that a bunch of presumed dead elves were still alive!
They have gone missing over the years, but in fact, the trolls kept them as workers. Families reunite, but danger's lurking! The trolls are attacking the elves -- two elves are injured, and more trolls have died, but the flow of those creatures doesn't seem to end soon. Halfnote's ordered to retreat ...

The ones that stayed behind suffered, as well. Half a day after the rescue party left, Trueblade, Iceglare and Kearen discovered trolls crashing through the protective thorn wall. With Strangleweed gone with the rescue party, there's no plantshaper strong enough to reinforce it.

The trolls pulled through, and though the elves and the wolfpack are trying to head off the attack, more and more elves suffer from injuries. Will they survive the full-scale attack?

Updating the adoptables!

Still in the adoption pool: Gale, our seven-year-old, eager to be a hunter cub. At the moment, real cranky that he has to hide in one of the den-trees with his clumsy mother, because he wants to help! He's defying Fireflash in the process, making him really cranky.

Newly adoptable: Greendream! Confident, wry-humored Greendream is equally at ease among the tribe and pack and out on her own in the woods she loves. She has a keen nose and good memory and few can equal her familiarity with the world around the Holt, its fauna, flora and terrain. Currently, Greendream functions as scout only, because she's been shot in the shoulder, but trying to maintain her position.


Furthermore, there's going to be a few options to create characters in the future. If you want that, let me know and I'll provide the necessary info

I might be interested in adopting Greendream, but I'm definitely interested in creating someone new. I'll be 'free' in about four days for new character creation if you can send me info about what I have to do to create a new character.

Awesome! You can do both -- creating and adopting! she'll be very happy you save her, because I'm ruthless with the adoptables (especially when they're under a full-scale attack. Mhuahaha!)

An update on the story would be great! I'll try to read it all to get a feel for where Greendream is in it, her attitude, and whatnot, but an update is faster.
