Firecat's opinions
Evenstar: Beloved little sister! Though Firecat found it was tough raising her as a cub, she dotes on her sister and they share a tight bond. Evenstar's part of the reason Firecat decided to tag along with Stormfire.
Icemark: In the large group they used to live in, Firecat didn't really pay attention to Icemark -- she knew he was Redthorn's lifemate, but that was about it. She's learned to appreciate his calmness and at the same time, his love for more fire. Someone whom she likes to get to know better.
Journey: He's still young and has never been part of her friends circle (partly because he was away a lot) but now the lad is growing up, Firecat starts to look at him with more interest. Now the group has thinned from what it used to be in the old holt, she will definitely try to get him between the furs.
Lightgaze: Friendly, but always so dreadfully serious! She should honor her name and lighten up a bit every once in a while. She understands why Lightgaze decided to tag along because she had partly the same reason when Evenstar decided to go but while she feels in place, she can see that Lightgaze hardly is. Lightgaze is too close to Firecat's liking.
Longdusk: Okay, what he's been through is tough, but certainly not a reason to mope around. She can't understand why he keeps lingering in the past. She's also lost a dear friend in Fleetfoot, but he really needs to move forward!
Mist: She usually visited Mist whenever something was hurt or for advice after her parents died. Now she values him as an elder and as a tribesmates, but they are not particularly close.
Moondew: Completely does not understands Moondew's preference for a recognition, but that's about the only point they seriously differ in opinion. Loving the fact that Moondew is not serious about lovemating, Firecat enjoys sharing the furs with her friend.
Oakstaff: Loves to have him in her furs, and can laugh with him. She really appreciates his company (and he's one who won't get too close, thankfully) and loves his outlook on life.
Redthorn: Like Longdusk, she doesn't really get her. She has a life with Icemark, a cub, and still lingers in the past. That's not the Way. Still, Redthorn is a valued hunter and Firecat likes the hunt with her.
Silent: A serious oddball, but kind of likes his presence. She really doesn't understand what drives this male, who is almost her agemate (and she probably had a youth crush on him which she's long forgotten), but feels sympathy for him nonetheless. Maybe this trip is a way to get to know him better.
Silvercub: A.. cub. She feels uneasy around the girl, reminding her too much about what once was, but she tries not to let it influence her. The cub reminds her of Evenstar a bit, though, and she's certain that when Silvercub grows up, they'll get along fine. Till then, she'll just watch from a distance.
Softling: Uh.. okay. Firecat is one to follow the way but it seems the High Ones had strange humor with this one. Softling's still young and therefore, Firecat hasn't really paid attention to her, but now she's growing up she's more like a wolf than an elf. Still, the girl interests her and amuses her, and overall, they tend to get along fine.
Stormfire: It is clear that Stormfire has to learn a lot and that not every critisism is an outright attack. But Firecat finds it not her place to argue and critisize, let the elders do that. She has to say she liked Stormfire better before she was chieftess, but that's simply the Way.
Sunsong: Another one she loves sharing furs with. Firecat considers the always positive elf as a friend and loves her positivity in life. If she feels down, she'll seek the plant shaper out for some heads-up.
Tallspear: Is developing a small crush on this one, but Firecat tries to resist it with all her might. She's not ready, she doesn't want it. Though she used to like spending time with him, she might be on the avoiding streak for a bit till those feelings have wavered.
Thornberry: Dude.. lighten up. Life is as serious as you want it, and this guy really takes it serious. Firecat can't remember if she's ever seen him smile. She usually keeps out of his way, thinking that there are much more pleasant people to have around. Her avoiding him might even be because of a slight fear. He snaps too much.
Whirlwind: Appreciates and likes, but not particularly close. Now the cub's grown into a young adult, Firecat likes to spend more time with her. Lovemating? Who knows. But she doesn't intend to wait for Whirlwind to find a reason to do something. There are others who are interesting, too.
Windsoft: Valued as a stealthy huntress, but not a particularly close friend. Besides, she always had a young cub but now the lad is growing up and the group is severely smaller than it used to be, who knows what can happen. In any case, during the hunt she likes to work alongside Windsoft.
Well, that was a welcome distraction I'll extend Longdusk's... someday. And now it's bedtime for me
