Has anyone noticed how curly-haired Wavedancers kept their curls while underwater?
Speaking as someone with curls - I've never managed to keep 'em once I've done underwater. Water is the ultimate straightener - at least while your hair is sopping.
So how do the Wavedancer's keep those curly locks in the salty sea?

Most of the time you see them under the water, though, not right after they come out of it, right? ;D
My own rod-straight hair looks far more flowing a full underwater than it ever does on land. So maybe it's just an illusion from being underwater.
Or maybe they have really thick, unmoving hair?

Well, maybe their hair is made of different stuff than human's is...I guess.

Luckily enough, there's someone here at my sister's who has curly hair -- and he's in the pool. Let me go tell him to dunk!

Geez. Never had a teenager argue so much about dunking his head in the water!
But no - it's floaty and soft - but looks straight!

LOL That's funny that he was so reluctant to dunk his head in the water!
Hm...so maybe Peachbug is right and their hair isn't like humans. There's curly haired dogs who's hair stays curly in the water. One of them is bred for water sports, but I can't remember the name. Maybe their hair is more like fur? Though the dog's fur is short, of course.

Their hair is probably all stiff and wiry, though. Let's just put it down to elfin magic! I can't imagine an elf with stiff, wiry hair!
