Personality/History: Strell loves the ocean, his oysters, and life in general. He's goodnatured, and enjoys company. But he's rather set minded on some matters.
When gathering food as a Pip, he found a pearl in an oyster he'd picked up. The elders explained how it was made, and Strell quickly became obsessed. He gathered oysters together at first, but now the farm is self-sustaining, and the oysters are used for food and the pearls some hold inside. He spends most of his time tending it and protecting it from ocean animals seeking an easy meal. He had himself adapted so he could live more easily in the ocean he so loves. He doesn't distrust or fear the land, so much as he has little use for it.
I blame a friend who's obsessed with pearls for his being an oyster farmer. I hope that's okay. It was the first thing I thought of when I thought of a Wavedancer character.
I haven't worked out his family yet. Including if he should have a lifemate or children. Or maybe just have him be so obsessed over cultivating his farm, he hasn't gotten around to it yet?
