Hello, Meimei, and welcome to Westering! We're so glad you stopped in to take a look - and liked it enough to register!

We're still on the new side, but so far we've been quite active! You can see our first official RP went quite well, and the just for fun RP didn't do so bad either. We've just started our second Wolfrider RP and our first Plainsrunner one, so now's the perfect time to jump right in. I'll probably be starting a just-for-fun Wavedancer RP soonish, just to give us something to do with those characters until the Wolfriders stumble onto them.

Is there a particular elf you have in mind to play? Got any questions for us to answer?

Hi, and thank-you for the welcomes!

I was wandering Elfquest boards, and saw the link to here. It sounded really interesting, and looked fun! I've been into Elfquest for...wow, um...over 15 years. LOL I actually left off around Seige until I started reading the Digital EQ earlier this month. Still prefer the original quest and siege, actually. ;D

I've RPGed off and on for awhile, though this is the first time I've tried an Elfquest one. I draw, though I didn't realize how long it had been since I drew Elfquest until I started one the other day. Got to get back in practice! Other than that, let's see...I work in sales, with cake decorating jobs on the side. I love reading sci-fi and fantasy, be they books or comic books. And writing is one of my favorite hobbies!

So that's me. Character, I was thinking Plainsrunner. I was going to ask if I could create a Weaver, than I noticed one on your character list, so that answered that question! Although I read somewhere among my cruising of the board someone suggest people playing a wolf, and that sounds fun to me too! Anyone need a wolffriend?

Ah, but we have two active Plainsrunner bands and there's not a limit of one weaver per band, either. Weaving is a time consuming task, after all, and one poor lone elf weaving for the whole band...?

So, you want a weaver? Create a weaver!

Hmm, I don't recall that particular topic, about someone playing a wolf, but that's one I think we'll discourage. There's just limited opportunities to effective write/RP just a wolf-character. While they do have elf-blood, it's VERY diluted and they're only a bit smarter than native wolves. Even wolfriders have to strain to communicate in words with their wolf-friends.

But we definitely would welcome more Wolfriders! :-) Or Wavedancers - I'm really pushing to get more Wavedancers. They'll be the first group that the Wolfriders meet.

Do create a weaver if you want. We've got several bands, although we're only playing two at the moment. Besides, there's a lot of clothing and blankets that need to be made too.

I look forward to seeing your characters. And you decorate cakes too? Too cool!

I understand about the wolves. There wouldn't be much to post, or easy to play. Just my brain working overtime. ;D

I think I will post the weaver. I should have made a guy, because the poor Plainsrunners are overrun with females! But it's another girl. And after reading your post about needing more wavedancers, my mind suddenly came up with an idea. And here I was going to be good because I hadn't read the wavedancers, but I ran and skimmed the one on Digital EQ to get an idea of how they look and such. Hopefully mine will be okay. Though he has some vague points. I'll go ahead and post those two up.

Our Wavedancers also differ a bit, so be sure to read our info file. You're right; there's not much on them. So we felt inclined to do 'em our own way. There shouldn't be too many differences, though - and most would be in the government of the group.
