Because I didn't want to post seperate topics. I need to think about Strell some more so I can annoy everyone with questions about Wavedancers instead of Plainsrunners. And - look! - I remembered there was a Plainsrunners section this time. LOL
Tangent! Sorry.
Question One: Is every plainsrunner bonded to a horse, or can the horses be ridden unbonded? (I was debating about not giving Siyal a horse, but since she's currently riding one...)
Question Two: Since they live on the plains, I was wondering - do they get tornados in the spring and summer? (Which came into my thoughts while I was trying to figure out a name for Taraan's horse and thought of Funnel as a name and then though - what if they don't have funnel clouds? So, yah, more odd thoughts by Meimei.)

Question One: Unbonded horses can be ridden. The bond between horse and Plainsrunner isn't remotely like the bond between wolf and Wolfrider. It's more like the bond between a horse and a human who owns just the one horse and cares for it, has trained it from foalhood, ect. But all the horses are trained for riding, and for hauling. Question Two: Of course tornados are likely! And all the other usual weather patterns. I doubt we'll see any hurricanes in Westering Bay, but everything else is pretty fair game. Heh. Tempts me to start yelling out "Hug a ditch!" and see who makes the connection. Send in the twisters!

Okay, I'll just have Siyal just ride random horses of the band's when travelling. She may bond with a horse later, or previously, but I'll leave her without for now.
Okay! Yay, Twisters! Though the line flew by me. Ah, well, can't get them all. ;D

The safest place to be during a tornado is the lowest point you can find: ditch, basement, ect. Tornados jump. So if you find yourself outside and a tornados coming, get in a ditch and hug the dirt. It's your best best for survival. My dad was military, but oddly enough, we didn't move around much. And we stayed pretty much in the southeast, or darn near. North Carolina, Louisiana, Arkansas - so I grew up and have spent most of my life in tornado alley. It's only the last three years I've lived in fire and quake country.

Which I knew, because I was born in the flatlands of the midwest. My brain was just slow tonight. Plus I have been in the rockies for over ten years now. LOL
