Personality/History: Veruca has a strong will and will voice her opinion when she thinks a fault is being made. She has troubles with trusting, and it will take someone long to really get into her system. If she has really made a friend, she will stand up for him or her and defend him with her life.
Respects the way of her clan, but though she accepts the rituals she would like to question some -- so far she has not. She is suspicious towards newcomers and animals she cannot place. Veruca prefers speaking over sending, only using the latter in a hunt.
Makes her own traps and nets in silence, enjoys the peace it gives her and loves to see her sister once a year. She hasn't really decided yet if she wants to go back to live with her sister or stick to the clan she knows.
[0-18] Growing up as a rather shy kit who pulled towards her mother, she knew she would be leaving her parents at a given point. Clinging to her mother when the time was right, part of her didn’t understand why she had to go and her agemates didn’t. She grew up to be a silent, withdrawn youngster, and during the process of growing up her feelings hardened. Her head understood the ways of her people, but her heart felt betrayed.
[19-75] She fell in love with an adult of her new clan, Eimar, when she just reached adulthood, and when he returned the feelings, she felt more secure to develop herself. Still young, she and he started working on her hunting skills. She appeared to have a preference for the bow and especially the longbow, soon barely missing a shot. For the short distance, she chose the net over the lasso.
[76-207] Eimar died when they were checking the perimeter, from a snake’s bite. The poison hit his nerve system almost immediately, and he passed out almost instantly. Before Veruca could grasp what had happened, Eimar had died. She was in shock and stayed with Eimar until the clan came looking for them. She could barely tell them what happened and was spiritually deafened by the happening. Assuming they would spend the rest of their lives together, her heart was torn to pieces with grief.
Protecting her heart in the process, she didn’t withdraw as she had done when she was a cub, but it became hard to really come close to her. She respected her clan mates and was loyal to the traditions, but to truly know her became difficult. And to mask it, she started to voice her opinion more often. Sometimes clashing with the clan leaders, she chose it over vulnerability.
[207-245] Opening up a bit, Veruca enjoyed the pleasures of having lovemates. A few of those became closer than others, and she silently vowed to protect her loved ones and her clan with her life.
