Totally awkward fun, but does anyone specifically want their character listed as her lovemate? She does...ahem...get around. Imagine Shenshen with a weapon.

Also, am I to believe that children are never raised by their biological parents? Why?

Not all children are fostered. But fostering is considered a good thing for two reasons: it keeps relationships between bands friendly, and it helps freshen the breeding pool.

So how do they make that decision? Volunteering?

Yep. The parents pick a couple from a band that they like, make an offer, and (if it's accepted) introduce the kid to his or her new family. It's accepted that it's not a forever thing; the kid will see his or her parents once a year, and they may even choose to go back to their old band instead of remaining with their new one.

Hey! I was going to post that Chetta and Taraan could have been lovemates before since Taraan gets around as well. But I was reading over their character sheets and thought maybe they should be rivals instead!

I don't mean in a malicious way. But since Taraan likes to be the center of attention, and Chetta with her dancing and flirting attracts plenty of her own, they could be vying for attention against one another. Especially since they're both in Ouren.

I don't mean to the point of causing tension to the band. Since they're both young by plainsrunner standards, the elder members of Ouren probably would find their antics more amusing than anything.

Just a sudden idea. Let me know what you think!
